PI2 upgrade support guide
Design
Not much has changed between Design legacy and Design in PI2. As with the rest of PI2, we’ve updated the user interface. However, we hope things look and feel similar to the Design experience you’ve come to expect.
Note: All of your company’s team data will carry over, so you can continue where you left off.
Biggest changes in PI2
Set access permissions when creating a team
In the legacy version of Design, adding team members to a team did not automatically notify them or grant them PI software access.
In PI2, we’ve added the ability for users to decide, when creating a team, whether to allow or restrict software access to a team. Any team members added to a restricted team will not be notified or granted access to view the team, whereas any team members added to an unrestricted team will be automatically notified and invited to view the team in Design.
Note: Any existing teams brought over from legacy PI will default to “restricted.” (This permission cannot be modified.) To allow team members to access the PI software, we recommend creating a new team in PI2.
